Life in Nepal

I am an agriculturist by training. My professional career reached its peak when I realised one of my wish dreams: I lived among mountain farmers in Nepal for some years - first, while I was writing my doctoral thesis, and later as the team-leader of a development project.

Health troubles

Then health problems forced me to pay more attention to myself: I had lost my voice due to spasmodic dystonia*. Moreover, I had pains in my back, problems with my knees, and a variety of nervous disorders. In the Alexander Technique I discovered a useful method of working with myself, of softening my physical and mental rigidities, and of efficiently tackling my own problems.

I completed an internationally recognised training course for teachers of the Alexander Technique and I am a member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT).

Professional Development

I did a post-graduate training at the Alexander Educational Center in Berkely, California. I am fortunate for having been able to attend seminars with some of the most experienced Alexander-Technique teachers worldwide (Carrington, Pinkas, Cohen, Nelken, Rennen, Ribeaux and many others).

My yoga practice and regular retreats help me to find balance and joy in life, which are vital for my teaching.
